At TELUS, we understand that each community has unique needs. That’s why we offer funding that drives positive outcomes in communities across Canada and globally.
TELUS Community Board Grants
Funded by the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation®, our Community Boards support initiatives from Canadian registered charities and qualified donees that focus on local, grassroots community-based health and education programs that help youth reach their full potential.
What we fund
We put community funding in the hands of local leaders to support programs that best meet our vision and clearly demonstrate the following criteria:
- Support youth up to age 29 experiencing obstacles to reach their full potential
- Align with our interest in health and education
- Will be successful with single year funding of up to $20,000, with the exception of the TELUS Barrie and Central Ontario Community Board which is up to $10,000
- Preference is given to programs that best demonstrate the use of technology to make positive impacts in the community

Innovation Grants
Registered Canadian charities and qualified donees seeking funding for breakthrough ideas in youth mental health or environmental education and climate action programs for youth are invited to apply for a TELUS Friendly Future Foundation Innovation Grant.
Indigenous Communities Fund
Flexible grants are available for Indigenous-led organizations that support Indigenous peoples, which includes First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, through programs meeting social, health, cultural, education and community needs.

At TELUS, we’re helping registered charities save on technology expenses so they can focus on supporting our communities. Your charity could be eligible for exclusive business mobility, office internet, TELUS Secure Business and Business Connect offers.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Registered charities and qualified donees can apply to both the TELUS Canadian Community Boards and for an Innovation Grant in the same year. However, they must be in support of different programs.
Organizations may apply to the ICF and the other granting programs that they qualify for in the same year. However, the grants must be in support of different programs.
