When you join LifePlus, you’ll receive a comprehensive assessment where we conduct a full head-to-toe examination, review your medical history and lifestyle habits, determine what your health risks are, and create a plan that’s right for you.
We are always looking for ways to increase the value of your membership—even during this period of COVID-19. With that in mind, we’re proud to introduce our new virtual prevention screen. As continuity of care and tracking your health risks is more important than ever, this virtual service allows us to continue to serve your needs while keeping us all as safe as possible.
Expert preventive health programming
We believe that better health requires a complete understanding of your current physical and mental health status and a mutual commitment between you and our multidisciplinary Care Team to achieve optimal health. At TELUS Health Care Centres, your Care Team is comprised of a family physician, nurse, dietitian, kinesiologist, and care coordinator, all working together to support you in achieving your goals. Our focus is health promotion and disease prevention so that our patients live their healthiest lives.
Advanced screenings and diagnostics
As part of your annual health assessment, we will perform the recommended and necessary diagnostic tests with the objective of detecting disease as early as possible, and understanding any underlying risk factors that are impacting our patients. We will monitor any trends in your screening and test results year over year to quickly detect any changes in health status and proactively react to issues as they arise and before they significantly impact your well-being. If significant issues are identified that require the intervention of a specialist physician, we will refer your care as required.
Consultations and health plan development
Everything that happens in the mind is connected to the body. That’s why we adopt an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to health. You’ll receive an extensive consultation with an experienced physician, registered dietician, a kinesiologist (to assess your fitness and physical movement), and a member of our psychological and brain health team—all of whom will develop a preventive health plan tailored specially for you.

When it comes to healthcare, one size does not fit all. That’s why the LifePlus program includes highly individualized pathways of care to meet your unique needs, including multi-disciplinary programs for chronic disease management and specialized programs for women and men.
